Nine Month Pictures & Update

On June 25, 2002 Aidan had his 9 month checkup. He weighed 21 pounds (50th percentile) and was 28 inches long (25th percentile). Our pediatrician says that Aidan is developing perfectly and is doing everything he should be at this age. He got some shots which he didn't like, had his blood tested (all his levels are fine), and will go back after his first birthday. Here's what Aidan and his parents have been up to in the last 3 months:

Between turning 6 months and 7 months, Aidan started holding a cup on his own to drink (and even tilts his head back to get every last drop), responding to his own name, and waving occasionally (mostly to inanimate objects). He had numerous playdates with his playgroup, with his friend Courtney (while Donna watched him for us) and with his friend Jack. He had a visit from his Aunt Meytal (Galit's sister), and his Aunt Dani (Galit's best friend) and her now fiance Brad. He went to Meredith's (playgroup buddy) first birthday party and behaved very well when babysat by our friend Janet.

Between 7 and 8 months, Aidan started creeping, ate some Cheerios for the first time, started pulling up, and got his first haircut. He continued to have lots of playdates with playgroups, Jack, and Courtney as well as visits from our friends Natasha & Stacey, teachers Galit used to work with (Suzanne, Diana, and Sara). He had our friend Judy and our friend Janet babysit him while Galit went out on the town (Mac was still in Philadelphia). At 8 months old, Aidan took his very first plane trip to Canada to visit Mac's family. We saw: Gramma and Grandpa Fraser, Aunt Meghan, Aunt Morag & Geoff, Uncle Mason, Great Aunt Debbie & Great Uncle Ken, Great Aunt Robin & Great Uncle Don and cousins Nikki & Dalton, Great Aunt Allyn & Great Uncle Rob, Great Aunt Patti & Great Uncle Michael, Great Grandpa Fraser, Great Grandma Abbott, the Fords, and the Pielstickers. Aidan also was able to visit June in the hospital to cheer her up while she was sick.

And in this last month, Aidan started cruising, pulling up in his crib (and getting stuck), eating finger foods (Cheerios, rice cakes, bananas, pasta), swinging in the swings for the first time, climbing up stairs, crawling, looking at books by himself, and got his top 2 teeth. Again lots of playdates, went to the Celtic Heritage Festival and the Greek Festival, went to Andrew's (playgroup buddy) first birthday party, and went to the Science Museum (to celebrate Daddy's birthday).

Now, he's learned how to get both up and down in his crib, crawls around the house and cruises around the furniture like a pro, and gets up those stairs faster than Maggie does. As for Mac and Galit, we had a great first Mother's and Father's Day and are basically just trying to keep up with Aidan's busy schedule! Mac is finally home from Philadelphia and is a project manager on a project for Dollar Tree. Galit is still involved in the MOMS Club (in fact, she's now become Vice President) and is still working on the cookbook fundraiser she is in charge of. And our new business My Calendar Maker (www.mycalendarmaker.com) is doing well.

Coming up, we have our 4th wedding anniversary, a visit from Galit's Dad over the 4th of July holiday and a plane ride down to Florida for Galit's uncle's wedding (where Aidan will get to meet some of his relatives from Israel including his Great Grandmother) and also for a short vacation. In August, Galit & Aidan fly to California to visit Galit's parents.
