Halloween

After refusing to wear the costume Mommy spent forever putting together to two Halloween parties, Aidan finally agrees to wear it trick-or-treating w/Daddy while Mommy is out of town.

• April '03: Playdates to the park as it gets more and more green around here; Easter Egg hunt with the MOMS Club; Aunt Tal, Savta & Sabba, Jack and family come for Passover (you've never had a Seder until you've had one with two 18 month olds -- it's fast!); Sesame Street Live which started the love of Elmo, Big Bird, and all things "Sehmee Stweet"; learning shapes (circle, square, triangle, star, even octogon); starting to eat w/ spoon & fork
• May '03: Sleepovers w/Jack begin (one month both boys here, one month boys both there); Katie's dedication; Windy Oaks Farm with the MOMS Club; Memorial Day BBQ at Jack's; counts to 8; jumps (but usually falls); starts identifying letters; says "Ayn" for Aidan; sings along with you to "5 Little Ducks"; starts identifying colors
• June '03: walks up steps by himself (holds onto the wall for balance); celebrates Daddy's 29th b'day with mini-golf; Gramma & PaPa come for a visit while Mommy & Daddy go on vacation for their 5th wedding anniversary; sleepover at Jack's; Cassidy is born!; Madelyn is born!; counts to 12 with help; starts using sentences
• July '03: Hanover Tomato Festival; Aunt Dani & Uncle Brad visit with the kittens Sasha & Jack; 4th of July fireworks (Aidan still talks about them as of October -- as in can we go see fireworks today?); feeding giraffes at the Richmond Zoo; camping with Jack & family at Shenandoah Nat'l Park (we had a great time!); tells me his "belly growling"; recognizes more shapes, letters, numbers, & colors; longer sentences
• August '03: Kathy, Mike, Emily, & Rachel (Galit's goddaughter) visit; Doug Sackin stops by; Firehouse Tour w/MOMS Club; Aunt Tal visits; Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens with Tal; National Zoo in DC; get together with the Sackins and other Special Pops friends in DC; asks Daddy "You tired?"; camping with Jack & family at Shenandoah Nat'l Park; celebrate Mommy's 27th b'day at Maymont with the MOMS Club; Savta & Sabba visit; Aidan learns most of a knock-knock joke and he says all the lines himself (Knock, Knock! Who's there? Mommy. Mommy who? is as far as he gets)
• September '03: Maymont with Savta & Sabba; take Sabba & Savta to the airport (something he still talks about --"Member? Savta, Sabba airport? airplane?"); Bowling with the MOMS Club!; Hurricane Isabel leaves us without power or phone for nearly 4 days -- and we were some of the lucky ones!; Aidan's 2nd birthday party; camping with Maggie at Bear Creek Lake Park; Tour of Panera Bread Company w/MOMS Club; after a particular rough day at the store, Aidan says "Mommy -- what's wrong? I wuv you, Mommy!" OK, Aidan wins again -- how can you stay mad at that?
