This year we stayed home for Christmas instead of going up to Canada to see Mac's family like we do every other year. It was nice not to be driving in bad weather, rushing around getting last minute gifts...oh, wait, we had all that anyway! Oh well, it was a great Christmas at home and even though we missed our family up North, we enjoyed our family time together.

As usual, we spent Hanukkah with the Honigs (a.k.a. the Caribous) and Galit's parents. We exchange gifts for the kids, a gag gift between us and the Honigs, and with the rest of the grown-ups in our family we put in money for a charity. This year it was Toys for Tots and the kids got to pick out toys for 10 different children.

Record snowfall in our area -- it started snowing on Friday December 18 (Aidan's last day of school before the break) and didn't stop for over 24 hours! We ended up with 18 inches all together.
